Certificate Creation Issue in Tizen IDE (Rev8) via Samsung Developer Account

Original Created Feb 12, 2017 | Regeneration Apr 22, 2026

I'm trying to install Twitch on my Samsung Smart TV (JU series) but encountering issues when creating a new certificate. The IDE claims I have a proxy behind my connection, but I've verified there is no proxy or transparent proxy configured on my network. I do have a valid Samsung Developer account.

I followed the installation guide from Reddit but still face this issue. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Problem Understanding

The user is experiencing certificate creation problems in Tizen IDE (Rev8) when attempting to develop for Samsung Smart TV. The IDE incorrectly detects a proxy connection when none exists, preventing certificate generation.

Solution Methods

  1. Verify Network Settings in IDE:

    • Go to: Windows > Preferences > General > Network Connection
    • Set Active Provider to "Manual"
    • Configure both HTTP and HTTPS settings appropriately
    • Ensure these settings match your actual network configuration
  2. Check for Server Issues:

    • Some users have reported similar issues caused by temporary server problems
    • Try again later to see if the issue resolves itself
  3. Alternative Certificate Creation:

    • Try creating the certificate through the Samsung Developer website directly
    • Then import it into your Tizen IDE

Additional Tips

  • Double-check your network configuration at both system and IDE levels
  • Ensure your Samsung Developer account is properly linked with your Tizen IDE
  • If the issue persists, consider trying from a different network connection
