Question
I downloaded the 64-bit installer for Tizen Studio 3.1:
web-ide_Tizen_Studio_3.1_windows-64.exe
After installation, my Avira Antivirus removed the following file:
TizenStudio.exe
Has anyone else experienced similar virus detection with other antivirus software? Or is this specific to Avira Antivirus?
Answer
Problem Understanding
Several users have reported false positive virus detections when installing Tizen Studio, particularly with Avira Antivirus. This appears to be a common issue with some security software flagging Tizen Studio components incorrectly.
Solution Methods
-
Add Exception in Antivirus:
- Add Tizen Studio installation directory to your antivirus whitelist/exclusions
- Specifically allow
TizenStudio.exe
-
Verify File Integrity:
- Download the installer again from the official Samsung Tizen OS website
- Compare checksums to ensure you have a legitimate copy
-
Alternative Antivirus:
- Temporarily disable Avira during installation
- Or use a different antivirus solution that doesn't flag Tizen Studio
Additional Tips
- This is a known issue that has been reported by multiple users
- The Tizen development team is aware of these false positives
- Always download Tizen Studio from official sources:
